Although he is in a nice large private room in the new rehab wing that has 8 rooms, there is only one dining room for the whole East wing…about 68 people. He is going through a grieving process as he grieves the loss of his physical ability coupled with the loss of security and friendships with the therapists and nurses he’s learned to trust. My husband’s physical therapist used Theraband therapy to help Steve, a stroke survivor, to walk more fluidly six weeks after a massive stroke paralyzed his left arm and leg.
