Kindle Wireless Reading Device Talks to You

As a caregiver, I’ve been on dozens…maybe hundreds of appointments with Steve where I must wait for him while he’s in therapy or having test. During those times, I like to read, so I plan ahead and bring along a book or two…jamming them into a large purse. Once in a while, I’ll forget to bring along that book, and then the waiting becomes unbearable for me. But I just heard about a Kindle…a wonderful wireless reading device that can hold over 1500 books, is the thickness of a pencil, and weighs only 10.2 ounces. And I can slip it easily into my purse so it’s always ready when I am.

The Kindle also has a neat Read-to-Me feature that stroke survivors would like too. With the Text-to-Speech feature, Kindle can read English newspapers, magazines, blogs, and books out loud to you. This is handy for those who are visually impaired, and can be used as a therapeutic device for stroke survivors.

Two of my daughters have a Kindle and they love it. They are always on the go and they take it with them all the time. What an amazing tool this is! Have you ever heard of taking a library of 1500 books along with you on an appointment? Well, now you can. This is a great gift for any occasion.
