Hi Kathy and Steve,

It is wonderful to know that Steve is recovering from his most unfortunate stroke. It is even more pleasant to hear his story and how much it mirrors exactly what I experienced 15 months ago. I also had a divine intervention and has pulled me through the hardest of times and pains when giving up would have been the easy way out. I now live to serve the Lord and spread my living testimonial that with Him by your side, you can do no wrong, and nothing is unachievable. I work hard at trying to recover from my stroke and it surely has paid off immensely. I thank my gracious family that has helped me through this, to include my daughter, my brother and sister-in-law, and numerous friends. Above all God has carried me all the way and I am a firm believer that with him at my side, I will recover....thank you and good luck!!

Hello Kathy,
As I've told hundreds, "Depression is the gift that keeps on giving", if you let it.
If been a caregiver to my father and a stroke survivor too. I've seen both side up close and personal.
My father was depressed for 10years after his stroke. His right arm didn't work, to walk he used a ankle brace and cane, had limited use of speech and difficult reading.
He changed after 10yrs when he realized the "Good Health Truck" was never coming. He started working on getting better for the next 13 years, it worked.
My stroke was just like his, maybe worst. I had two stroke the same day. Wasn't expected to live over night according to the doctor.
I started working on getting better using the therapists and on my own everyday. I decided to skip the 10 years of depression and go for the cure.
Steve needs to let go of the past and grab the right here and now. Work on the little things, they all add up.
Winning the little challenges always made me smile.

Richard, Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy is our next source of treatment and Steve will be starting that in a few weeks. Please come back to this site as I post updates. I never heard of Cerebrolysin, but I'll check it out. Thanks.

HI Demie,
If your husband is having an "electric brain" sensation, I highly recommend that you start him on Epi-Still, a natural remedy for the electrical part of the brain. It has been very instrumental in treating and preventing seizures in my husband after his stroke, and he hasn't had one since he started the Epi-Still. Seizures are caused by the electrical part of the brain, so please don't wait until he has one because that does more damage. My husband had 3 of them and they affected the motivational center of his brain. My best to you and your husband.

Just found this site and God Bless all of you through your journeys. My husband age 46 had a stroke in November in the right cerebellum. Thankfully, he has no paralysis, speech defects or optic nerve damage, but his condition is still disabling. He has some short term memory loss, difficulty processing information at times, lightheadedness to the point of almost passing out, and what he refers to as an "electric brain" sensation. Our neurologist refers to this as anxiety, but my husband says it's not that. There is so little information available on cerebellum strokes, I am hoping that someone here can point me in the right direction. Best wishes to all, and thank you all for sharing your stories.
